Borosilicate glass is a material that is highly resistant to temperature changes and washing. Its chemical composition
is such that it does not alter the acidity level of the liquid with which it comes into contact.
The vacuum created in the cavity between the two walls of the coffee cup and thermal cap allows insulation of the contained liquid and prevents condensation from forming on the outside of the container. The result is a greater temperature retention of the hot liquid or food than in ordinary glass or porcelain and ceramic containers. The same is true for cold liquids or foods, which maintain the desired tasting temperature in this way, do not create condensation on the outer surface, consequently avoiding the deposit of water on contact surfaces and hands.
During the production of the thermal coffee cup and cap and each individual model, a small hole is left at the outer base. The item (produced by hand) is taken up later, air is sucked out and the hole closed. To close the hole, the operator applies a small drop of glass, which quickly cools and seals the work done. Hence the presence of a small screw under the base of the container, due to the temperature difference, between the glass being cooled and the drop of glass to close the hole.
