PRODUCTS MADE IN ITALY

Italy is the country of the Amaro. Here, in fact, it has taken on the dimensions of a true end-of-meal ritual and represents the ideal starting point of the evening among friends. Just as Bitter has become synonymous with and a staple of the aperitif.
Products that can accompany the whole day: hot, neat or on the rocks, they demonstrate a versatility unique in the liquor scene, becoming ideal companions to vermouths and spirits in mixing.

PRODUCT HISTORY AND ANALYSIS

The book analyzes the origins of bitters and bitters, explaining the transformation that led them from pharmacy shelves to bar shelves, becoming the "little medicines of healthy men."
Through reading alchemical and Renaissance texts, manuals of distinguished liquor makers, both Italian and foreign, and publications from the post-World War II period, one discovers their incredible evolution.
These pages also trace the changes in society and its consumption styles through the many images and suggested cocktails. Spices and herbs, the technical terms of liquor making, the main European schools, and historical and modern production methods will have no more secrets.
