Robert Simonson is a prominent journalist and writer on the global cocktail scene.
An author for the New York Times since 2000, he also signs numerous contributions for the Times, Food & Wine, Saveur, GQ, Lucky Peach, Whisky Advocate, Imbibe and others. A tireless commentator on the spirits and bar scene, he is also the author of the books The Old-Fashioned (2014) and 3-Ingredient Cocktails (2017), with which he was nominated for the 2018 James Beard Award. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
