Called "the drink of the gods" because it was anciently brewed in Japanese temples, sake is undoubtedly one of the food and wine symbols of the Rising Sun.
Now that Japanese cuisine has also spread to Italy and sake is increasingly popular, let's tell the world of this drink: history, myths, legends, literary and film references, production, curiosities but also commonplaces, often erroneous, that have accompanied its fame.
Drinking Japan, however, is not just sake: starting from beer to Made in Japan whiskies, passing through shochu, awamori and going even further, this book reveals the universe of Japanese liquors, still little known but highly prized and now trending worldwide.
Accompanying the text are original cocktails designed and made by Italian and Japanese bartenders.
A book that is a voyage of discovery of Japan to drink, a rich and varied world, all waiting to be discovered.
