This book tells the story of Brakes and Clutches, a former machine shop now a street cocktail bar, created with the aim of proposing the culture of the aperitif even in Rome, where it was previously known and consumed mainly in the bars of large hotels or in the historic bars of the "dolce vita."

The manual is the fruit of work, sacrifices and experience to date. For its realization, the Freni e Frizioni drink team drew inspiration from "cult" texts of mixology: The Savoy, The PDT, Imbibe, The bon-Vivant's Companion, Liquid Intelligence, as well as drawing on the collaboration of expert friends.

"We nourish the hope that this "booklet" can be, for you, a stimulus to deepen the culture of "good drinking" through the knowledge of products, their characteristics and techniques for making drinks," they declare.

Each chapter was edited by a top Italian mixologist including:

Mauro Lotti
Historical Italian bartender, face of the Grand Hotel in Rome for more than 35 years, today he is the custodian of clasic mixing and fully represents the hospitality and professionalism that distinguishes Italian bartenders in the world, in the book he recounts travel notes from his long experience
