With Biosec Silver anyone can easily and economically preserve fruits, vegetables and mushrooms right at home.
The fan is equipped with an adjustable electric heater with thermostat to give the possibility to directly manage the energy consumption, which in any case remains limited even at maximum power.
The dryer is designed to generate a continuous horizontal flow of hot air, so that it reaches all the baskets inside equally, thanks to this technique drying takes place evenly.
The air enters the dryer and is heated and distributed by the thermo-fan unit, passes through all levels of the baskets and exits, collecting the moisture generated by the product being dried.

WHAT IS DRYING

Drying is a natural method of food preservation based on the removal of water contained in products. A dried product remains unchanged for a long time, keeping its properties and organoleptic characteristics intact, and is therefore suitable for long-term storage.

WHY DRYING

Drying with Biosec is beneficial to your health, the environment, and your wallet. What's more, it's super simple.
IT'S NATURAL: Drying is one of the few food preservation methods that allows food to retain its organoleptic characteristics and nutritional components almost unchanged. Dried food does not undergo any chemical or mechanical intervention, nor the addition of preservatives or other artificial substances. The process of water elimination deprives the decomposing microorganisms of the element essential for their action and ultimately blocks their activity. The lack of liquid inhibits the development of microbes and prevents food oxidation.
IT'S ECOLOGICAL: Drying is one of the most environmentally friendly systems for preserving food: Biosec was designed with a strong focus on energy conservation; in fact, it requires a modest amount of electricity and simply runs on air! In addition, a dried product makes it possible to reduce the initial footprint by as much as 80-90%. This is why Biosec is also and especially suitable for those who have a small house and are forced to economize on space in their pantry. Finally, drying produce makes it possible to store seasonal fruits and vegetables, bought at the supermarket or directly grown in one's own garden, throughout the year without having them arrive in the middle of winter from the opposite side of the planet.
IT'S ECONOMICAL: A product dried with Biosec can be stored without the need for cold storage or without taking on the costs of storing in oil, vinegar or salt. And it is easy to see the advantages in economic terms that can be obtained from a pantry full of typically summer products that can be consumed even in the middle of winter: it will not be necessary to buy vegetables and fruits from another hemisphere by the pound to enjoy the flavors of summer even in December. WHO CAN DRY: Everyone! As we also explain elsewhere, anyone can easily use a Biosec. The procedure is super simple, and requires no special skill. It will be enough to cut fruits and vegetables, arrange them in the baskets and activate the fan to get the finished product in a few hours or, at most, in a few days. HOW DO YOU DRY WITH THESE DRYERS?

EASIER DONE THAN SAID: THE 4 STEPS OF DRYING.
1 - Zac: cut the product to be dried into more or less thick slices, never more than 1 cm high, depending on the degree of wateriness. In some cases it will be sufficient to split it in half.
2 - Paff: place the slices thus obtained on the baskets provided, and reinsert them inside the tunnel.
3 - Click: turn on the dryer switch and select the desired program.
4 - Wooosh: the jet of hot air will dry the produce, and all that's left for you to do is store them in the pantry.
HOW TO CONSUME DRIED FRUIT AND VEGETABLES Dried fruit can be eaten as is, mixed with nuts, honey, or caramelized to make a natural and nutritious breakfast. Dried vegetables are an excellent ingredient for soups, risottos, sauces, stews. Normally, products such as carrots and potatoes should be rehydrated, before cooking, other products can be added directly, increasing cooking time and adding more water, necessary for rehydration of the dried ingredients. Dried leaf vegetables can be reduced to a powder, with a blender or grinder, and thinned in hot water to make soups or creams.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRY? The 3 principles of drying, Thickness, wateriness and moisture.
Thickness: the thinner a slice is, the less time the drying process will take to be complete. Every food has a peculiar shape and size. Sometimes even the same product can have different shapes and sizes, just think of tomatoes, which change their appearance significantly as they go from Pachino to Sammarzano. Our first rule tells us that the larger the slices we arrange inside the dryer, the longer the process will take to be completed. It is obvious that, for each product, we will have to reach the right compromise between taste and clock, that is, between the thickness of the slices and the drying time.
Wateriness: the more water contained in the product, the longer the drying time will be. Exactly the same as shape and size, each product contains a different percentage of water. Since drying is the process that removes the watery component, it is obvious that the time required to complete it will also depend directly on the percentage of liquid contained in the product. Since we cannot influence this variable in any way, unlike the thickness of the slices, we will just have to respect nature's timing.
Humidity: as the degree of humidity in the air increases, the drying time will lengthen. The environment in which we decide to dry our products also plays a key role in the duration of the process. In fact, humidity, by hindering the disposal of water by the machine, greatly slows down the drying process. For this reason, it is absolutely recommended to use Biosec and B-Master in dry rooms, at constant and not excessively high temperatures, with a reduced presence of humidity.
