Thiscl 66 stainless steel French parisienne shaker is also known as a '2-piece' to differentiate it in jargon from the '3-piece' (the Cobbler).
The satin finish
The satin finish gives this shaker an elegant appearance and distinguishes it from the classic polished stainless steel.
This French shaker is commonly used, like all parisiennes, by inserting ice in the lower part, while the upper part is tipped up and placed at its top to be filled with the ingredients of your drink, so that they stay cool during the preparation phase. When you have finished it, pour it into the stainless steel glass below already filled with ice, close it and shake with the technique you prefer.
A curiosity
If the customer you are serving is sitting at the counter you can surprise them with a stage effect: when you have finished shaking leave the drink in the tin, garnish it and serve it directly into a part of the parisienne. This can be done if you have a few shakers available or if the venue is quieter at that time.
When to choose a parisienne
When looking for style, quality, trend. There are those who prefer one shaker, those who prefer another, those who prefer to shake with boston who with cobbler, then there are those who choose the parisienne: you choose the one you prefer.
