RGmania presents Too Good To Go: the app that fights food waste

Too Good To Go, or how to do your part in saving the planet, whether you are a food merchant but also a food user.

RGmania is pleased to present Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go is the app that will make you feel part of a real planet-saving project, that something that makes you exclaim 'I'm doing my part too.'

But how does it work?

It depends on whether you want to sign up as a merchant or as a customer.

All you need to know

MERCHANTS

By signing up for the app, merchants (restaurateurs, owners of delis, bars, bakeries, bakeries, supermarkets, or any kind of business that sells food & beverage) agree to collect good quality food items that would be thrown away at the end of the day, reselling them at one-third of their value, indicating on the app the time of pickup.

CUSTOMERS

By downloading the app, customers can purchase from enrolled businesses, geolocating them by distance.

Payment is made through the app, making pickup even easier and faster, a mode that thinks particularly of city dwellers, who have less and less time - and space - to pick up.

MAGIC BOXES

But what do the boxes contain? The contents cannot be declared: each merchant must deliver an amount of food that corresponds - in commercial value - to three times the value that the customer paid, choosing from products that he or she would have to throw away in the evening because, although still good and consumable, he or she could not resell the next day.

TO KNOW.

When placing the order, the customer is advised to bring his or her own bag in which to put the products because preference should be given to as little waste as possible even in take-out. This does not mean that the merchant will not deliver everything in a bag but, following the philosophy of the app, it is preferable to choose reusable ones.

MISSION: I.E. WHY SIGN UP

In a world dominated by food waste, or rather by inequality, where the West throws away a lot of food and Third World countries do not have enough, Too Good Too Go aims to promote conscious consumption, which aims to use up instead of throwing away or producing again, to trust those who offer the service and to really feel that they are doing the right thing with a small gesture that goes from promoting the economy to saving money, through helping a Planet that needs more initiatives like this.
