Amber Glass goblets for whiskey: the quality of blown glass

In Amber Glass whiskey glasses, the quality of the blown glass, and their other features, can be seen, felt and touched: the advantages over other whiskey glasses on RG Mania.

Whisky: distillate what a passion!

Whisky what a passion-but do you have the right glasses? This alcoholic beverage, whose paternity has always been disputed between Scotland and Ireland, is obtained from the distillation of a fermented wort composed of simple ingredients-water, grain and yeast-but in which each step becomes fundamental in the creation of the aromas and the right consistency; similarly fundamental are the products in which to taste whiskey (or whiskey as it may be) properly.

Amber Glass goblets for whiskey

RG Mania offers two types of glasses, or better yet goblets, specifically designed for tasting whiskey: the Amber Glass, in two sizes - 10 cl and 13 cl - equipped only with lid or with lid and amber stem. This is a brand known for its high quality glass, but above all blown glass, a technique performed by expert artisans; its delicate shapes thus result from a meticulous process.

Made from a mixture of quartz and additives, Amber Glass goblets are in fact fired in a kiln at 1400° and shaped by hand, so a team of at least five people is required to work a single piece. After the firing, manufacturing and resting stages, quality control is carried out to ensure the perfection of each piece.

Amber Glass whiskey glasses: benefits and features

The thin stems of Amber Glass whiskey glasses accentuate the shape of the cup, while the matching, handcrafted outer lid preserves flavors and prevents evaporation. While the 10 cl Amber Glass glass is ideal for tasting heavier whiskeys, and the tapered mouthpiece nicely concentrates aromas for maximum olfactory satisfaction, the cup shape of the 13 cl Amber Glass goblet makes it suitable for light, floral and fruity spirits.

The solid base ensures the convenience of a perfect grip, as the slim, elongated shape facilitates the perception of all the whiskey's sensors, intensifying the experience. Amber stem versions are also available, mimicking the effect of a glass filled to the base, turning every tasting into a memorable experience.

The difference between a tasting glass and the Amber Glass stemware

All it takes to understand, and experience, the difference between any tasting glass and an AmberGlass is a few simple steps.

  1. Pour 25 ml of your favorite whiskey into any whiskey glass, then do the same in an Amber Glass whiskey glass.

  2. Taste the distillate from the first, paying attention to its aromas.

  3. Repeat with the Amber Glass, first without the lid, then applying it.

  4. Taste the whiskey again from the first one: notice the difference?

One hundred independent tasters have found 12-15% more flavor notes on Amber Glass blown glasses than on machine-made glasses. The difference can be seen, felt and touched--on Amber Glass whiskey glasses!
