Taking its cue from the celebrated novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Bartender will make you dream and excite but above all enter the world of bartending with colorful, lively, cartoonish illustrations and seemingly simple, or rather friendly, writing, the kind of writing that seems to have been lost. The words seem to be aimed at a very young audience, concealing instead a desire to appeal to 'grown-ups' so that they can get straight to the heart with sweetness and directness.
FROM THE INTRODUCTION BY FLAVIO ANGIOLILLO
"Sometimes the smallest dreams turn into something big. Do not be fooled by the apparent simplicity and lightness of this book: it is much more than it seems and, like all the best things, it hides its most precious beauties between the lines. It was born in this way, simply, from reflections and a few anecdotes about my craft exchanged with Claudio Gallone (...). It is a celebration of a world that is made up of knowledge of the subject, listening to the client and awareness in knowing how to identify needs. Which sometimes means putting aside flair, ego and skill and serving the glass of wine that the person on the other side of the counter is, perhaps, really craving."
